When a 32 year old 8 month pregnant New Jersey resident went to the casino she was thinking of taking home a jackpot, and she wound up taking home a baby boy.
The woman went into labor around 9:30 Saturday morning on the of an Atlantic City Casino while playing the penny slots.
She said she had originally thought her pains were from gas, but after the pains increased she started to think she was going into labor. She informed one of the casinos staff members, who mistakenly thought the woman, was joking, until her water broke.
The guard told her not to push and called paramedics immediately but according to witnesses she told him "Forget you, this baby is coming right now!"
In just a few minutes she had given birth to a 5 pound baby boy which she named Qualeem.
According to the casinos vice president four of the casinos guards helped the woman give birth and one of the guards even wrapped the baby up in his jacket until the paramedics arrived 10 minutes latter and that the mother and child had been taken to the hospital and were doing fine.
He also told reporters that in the 29 years he has been working at the casino he knows that several people have died in the casino but can not remember anyone ever giving birth in the casino.
